Our Nationwide Supply Chain Automation Solutions

Automated Solutions

Conveyor and Sortation

Conveyor and sortation systems are the fastest, most cost-effective, and most reliable means to automate the transportation of cartons, totes, pallets, and parcels in a distribution and fulfillment center. We are experts in designing and implementing the best conveyor and sortation products. All our systems are controlled by the latest Programmable Logic Controllers (PLCs), and through our Clarity software, you can troubleshoot, manage, and identify potential issues with the ease of a tablet.

Batch Picking and Unit Sortation

Our solution advisors are experts in understanding how processes, tools, and technologies can be integrated to maximize your warehouse-picking operations. Incorporating batch picking with unit sortation is the optimal method of increasing your picking productivity. Top Hat Engineering has multiple technology and solution providers that can integrate with our Warehouse Optimization System (WOS) Clarity to maximize your benefits.

Automated Storage and Retrieval Systems (ASRS)

ASRSs are optimal solutions for customers who have a high demand for automation. We can integrate the ASRS directly into your receiving operation to have the system perform putaway and replenishment functions. Our Warehouse Optimization System (WOS) Clarity can automate the retrieval of products with integration to replenishment, picking, or shipping functions.

Automated Mobile Robots (AMR)

Automated mobile robots are in extremely high demand because they provide customers the flexibility required to increase the number of robots utilized to scale to operational requirements. They also enable seamless integration with existing warehouse operations and older technology solutions for potential brownfield conversions.

Print and Apply

Print and Apply Systems apply shipping barcodes, license plate numbers (LPN), and other shipping labels to the exterior of a carton or tote. We have significant experience with utilizing Print and Apply automation in many industries, so we easily integrate a solution to meet your requirements.

Custom Automation

Our highly skilled engineers have significant experience designing, developing, and implementing custom machinery that will drastically increase your productivity. We know that each customer has different demands, and we are here to help ensure you have the technology to meet those demands. We have previous experience building custom unit sorters, robotic picking, and carton erection machines. If you have an idea, we can build it for you!

Picking Solutions

Pick to Light

Pick to Light is a tool used to automate picking items from pre-slotted locations to customer orders or batch-picked totes. It provides visual cues to know what to pick and how many to pick and confirms the individual picks to expedite the picking process.

Picking Devices

Our Android-powered picking solutions provide you with a wearable tool that incorporates scanning product UPC or shipping order barcodes for picking products. It can be incorporated into breakpack, full case, pallet, or receiving operations. It also integrates with our WES Clarity to maximize productivity analytics.

Goods to Person

Goods to Person (GTP) solutions integrate with other automated solutions such as ASRS, Automated Guided Vehicles, and conveyors. These solutions significantly increase productivity by reducing time spent walking to pick products for individual orders.

Partners and Solution Providers

Our solutions, and partnerships, have been thoroughly vetted to ensure they are reliable, provide maximum productivity to our customers, and have the support you require. Each solution integrates with our warehouse optimization system called Clarity to ensure you don't have to juggle multiple applications.
